Hey there, Lance13 here with a guide to 99 cooking all the way from level 1. .
Alright so as you know you will need a lot of fishies, also make sure you do the family crest quest to get yourself some cooking gaunts, as they are vital and speed everything up.
Lvls 1-40
For these levels I really suggest just fishing and cooking your own fish, it's quick and easy, just start out in al-karid fishing and cooking shrimps, herring and sardines.

Lvls 40-55
Buy as many salmon and trout at this time to get you up to level 55, I don't suggest doing lobsters at 40, as you will burn a lot of them. Same thing goes for swordfish at level 45, I don't recommend cooking these as you'll just be throwing your money away with the burnt fish.

Lvls 55-86
Around this time you should start to consider cooking lobsters, their burn rate is still moderately high but it will be much faster than salmon and trout at this point, you stop burning lobsters at 66 with cooking gaunts.. don't start monks at 68 or anytime in between 68-86. Most people don't realize that the exp yield is greater until that point.

Lvls 86-90
Start stocking up on your monkfish, which by the way are delicious, and i recommend trying the beast if given the chance... But anyways! Cook Monkfish up until 90ish... You could continue them to 99 but I don't recommend it.

Lvls 90-94
Sharks, more sharks, and more sharks. Buy a bulk amount of sharks. Make sure you have cooking gaunts by this time or you can still burn them.. Start sharks at 90 and carry them on to 94, don't start rocktails right away as they are expensive and will burn at 93 with cooking gaunts so you will lose money on them.

Lvls 94-99
The good money making part of the whole quest to 99. As soon as you hit 94, always cook rocktails with cooking gaunts. You will not burn them, and will make roughly 100gp per cooked rock, buy a bulk amount of them and just start cooking away.

And As A side note to the guide, I forgot to mention.... The best spot to cook mass amounts of fish is the rogue's den, for those of you that don't know the rogue's den is under the trapdoor in the bar in burthrope.
