Basic F2P Money Making Guide.

So you've just made you're account, or you're new to Runescape, or you just need money.
Here is a basic guide to make a reasonable amount of cash.

No Merchanting Skill Required.

This is a pretty good way to make 20-40k an hour, so if you don't have many stats, and/or need money this could be useful.

The information below on prices is from 10/5/11 (My time)

Requirements:
Literally 2gp+ , but 40gp is ideal.
A little bit of patience.

Step 1:
Go to Varrock Town Center.

Step 2:
Go to Thesilia's Cloth Shop. Very close to the General Store.

Step 3.
If you only have 2gp, buy 1 white apron.
If you have 20 coins, buy out all the white aprons in the shop.
If you have 40 coins buy out all the blue skirts as well.
(You can only buy 10 maximum as that is the store stock)

Step 4.
Take a short stroll up past the West Bank of Varrock to the Grand Exchange.
And Right Click one of the Grand Exchange Staff.

Step 5.
Sell White Aprons for G.E price, (which is about 150gp at the moment) you should hopefully get around 1.5k if you bought 10.
If you bought Blue Skirts, sell these too.
You should get around 1.5k

Step 6.
And Repeat BUT PLEASE READ BELOW.

That's 3k in 2 minutes, Sounds good right?
Well, there is a catch. You have to wait for them to restock. Luckily, Brown Aprons and Pink Skirts also sell for at least 10 times their buying value. The time it takes to buy brown aprons and pink skirts, go to the Grand Exchange and sell them, is about the time the other items take to restock, or 8/10.


Why this works:
White Aprons: Are used by other players to get into the cooking guild, (with 32 Cooking) but are also a popular merchanting item. These are always in demand.
Blue Skirts: Are what Novice wizards wear as magic equipment. Since mages need these, they are in high demand too. Higher level wizards who do not desire to have Wizard Trimmed or Wizard Gold Trimmed armour, or can not afford it may still use these too.



Note:
Brown Aprons are currently 26 gp, they should sell at that price bringing in 260gp.
Pink Skirts DO NOT sell at Grand Exchange price at this current moment, will sell for about 70-100gp each. This means you still earn 1k inbetween the normal runs. Pink Skirts are not in much demand, so you may not be able to sell them always :s

Other Information:
People may give you more money then the Grand Exchange price, because people are in demand of the product. Instead of 150gp for a blue skirt, you may get 300. This means more profit
Brown Skirts also will bought for people who want to go to the crafting guild, as that is a requirement along with 40 Crafting for entry.

New Edition: General Store Items Such as Jug and Security Books can be sold inbetween runs instead of the brown apron and Pink Skirt. Filling up the jug increases it's worth by 50gp, so you might want to do that too.

Also, this is a little time consuming, but it works. Take about 40-45k and go to port sarim fishing shop. but the harpoons for like 50gp and run to the deposit box. The shop holds 1000 of them, so go there and buy them all. Take them to the deposit box and repeat a few times. Then once youve bought out the store, buy the feathers. then go to the grand exchange and sell everything for about 175k

It was profitable to mine rune essence, but now the price went down by 50% -.-

You Can also Buy The flour pots and resell them from the port

There are tons of methods! you just have to keep a sharp eye!
